CHRISTMAS MEMORIAL CONCERT 2011
This year the concert went very well we had at about 400 people attended. The weather was very kind to us and it was mild for December. The Salvation Army Band were great and they really involved everyone including several impromptu soloists by unsuspecting family members. Everybody gave very generously and I would personally like to thank everyone who gave a donation either at the Concert or by post. In total you managed to raise an amazing £1182.00 this will be used for local families at Christmas time. Thank you again. Next year we are planning to top this amount with your help, the date for the concert is Saturday 1st December 2012 starting at promptly 2pm and lasting for about an hour.
We also wanted to reassure you that any items left on graves over the Christmas period will not be removed before Twelfth Night, 6th January 2011. If you would like the item back, please retrieve and take it home before this date.

CHRISTMAS MEMORIAL CONCERT 2009
We had a lovely concert this year and I really enjoyed meeting all our families who made themselves known to us. This year Susanna a member of the Salvation Army not only made all the introductions but also gave several beautiful solos. Our thanks are really to you as you generously donated a total of £1172, including donations from families unable to attend but wishing to support this worthy cause.
Please make a note in your diaries for next year's concert, Saturday 4th December 2010.
On a different note, we also wanted to reassure you that any items left on graves over the Christmas period will not be removed before Twelfth Night, 6th January 2010. If you would like the item back, please retrieve and take it home before this date.
NEW AWARD
We thought you might like to see a photo of us receiving an 'Excellence in Bereavement Award' from the Society of Bereavements Practitioners. This award was for our quality of service and outstanding level of care. We were nominated for the award by one of our families and supported by several others. We try very hard and we appreciate that our efforts are recognised by this award.

In the photo are three generations of Herongate Wood founders: Jackie Sawtell, daughter Isabella Sawtell, Ray Ward (Senior Partner), Tony Sawtell, Rev. Stephen Callander (Founding Director of the Society) and Tony Piper (Assistant Director).
I have left on 2010 Christmas and New Year Opening times to give you a better idea of when we will be open next Christmas.
