Re-opening of Cemetery Grounds

Following government guideline changes we would like to confirm that as of Tuesday 21STApril 2020 the cemetery grounds at Herongate Wood will re-open for visits to graves and to place flowers on loved one’s plots. The visits should be for mourners only and not for recreational purposes or tending to plots.

We would politely ask that when visiting you follow the social distancing guidelines, limit the time you spend within the grounds and take any rubbish home with you.

The safety of our staff, who continue to work within the grounds and those of our visitors is paramount, therefore to reduce the risk of the virus spreading we have taken the following steps:-

  • All toilet facilities within the grounds will be closed
  • Watering cans will not be available
  • The car park will be open but may close earlier than normal, this being the case access should be via the pedestrian gate.

We do appreciate that these are difficult times, so please accept our thanks for your co-operation, understanding and support. – April 22nd 2020
